Mrs.Truby has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in education from Friends University, and she tends to be an over-achiever. She likes to go above and beyond with just about everything, and she likes to get things done early. She loves to wear broaches, watches, and watch QVC. She has written five books about scrapbooking and traveled the country teaching women how to preserve their photos. Mrs. Truby likes bees. Scientists say that is impossible for their little bodies to fly, but they fly anyway, achieving the impossible everyday. You will usually see her wearing a bee pin.
Mrs. T has been married to Doug for 20 years, and they have one son named Quade. He is 12 years old and in 7th grade at TIS. Mrs. Truby has one dog named Ike, and he is a therapy dog as well as the class pet. Ike and Mrs.T. are best buds. She always plays with him and buys him treats. You guys have to take care of him like he is your own dog. Ike is a very lucky dog because he has all of you to love on him each day.
Mrs.Truby’s main priority is to help you get ready for 6th grade. She hates tests but has to give them to you every now and then. She doesn’t like to give homework because she knows that we have lives outside of school, but you can plan on some homework each night. Mrs. T. likes to make all learning and education fun for everyone, and she hates when kids procrastinate. She is always there for you and she will always listen. You can trust her. Shhh…Here is the best kept secret: Mrs.T likes Diet Pepsi in a foam cup from Sonic. She loves to add a splash of vanilla and cherry to make it really yummy! This always makes her smile J
